Focus Friday

Focus Friday

As we enter a new year everyone, myself included, has a list as long as their arm of things they want to accomplish. So I have decided to hold myself accountable by choosing one thing to focus on each week. It can be big or small, it doesn't matter just as long as I specify what it is and get it done. So each week I will post my focus for the upcoming week as well as give a recap of how my week went with the previous focus. Now here is the fun part, I want you to join me on my little focus challenge. This week My Focus is..

  • Cook Dinner every single night, even when I'm tired. It's so hard to cook because I never know when Jason will be home. Lately he has been working alot, and coming home late. Who wants to cook a big meal when no one is there to enjoy it fresh.

  • Make kid friendly meals, that are not only heathly but deliscious! I just downloaded a cook book that has ideas so that your children can help you cook as well.

T Ball

I am always looking for outside toys, because we have such good weather here, and this is my latest Toy. A T Ball set 10$ at Walmart. Kaleb absolutely loves it. Jason found some frisbies in the backyard and set them up as bases. He taught Kaleb how to hit the ball and run the bases.
He says 1st base, 2nd base, 3rd base, Home! and makes sure he touches each one. I am glad we have another person in the family that likes to play sports!

Soccer

On Saturday we took Kaleb to a trial class at our local indoor soccer place. I've always wanted to put him into some kind of class because he has so much energy, whether it be Jymnastics, karate, or soccer. The class was a success! It's a 40 minute class. And they keep the kids very active. In the begining he was hesitant and shy as they were doing the stretches, and would not do them. He just wanted to get to the kicking the ball part. This class was a Parent & Me class by the way, I started out with him in the begining then he wanted Daddy to do it with him so Jason ended up doing the whole class with him. They had a ton of fun. We decided we are going to sign Kaleb up for the next seaon which starts in March!

Things they did during the class...

Played Red Light, Green Light kicking the ball, they had to stop it with their toe. (toe tap)
Kicked the ball into the goal.
Kicked the ball to knock down cones .
Set up the cones using their feet.
 Played with the parashute.
Drove around with little rubber circles and when a shark came jumped into hula hoops, then told  the sharks to go away! Proceeded to drive around  the hula hoops.

Grandma's visit

Yesterday my Mom came to visit, and the kids were so happy to see her. Jazelle talked and laughed for minutes as my mom was holding her, it was so cute.

Here jazelle is with the outfit my mom brought.
I love it!
She apparently likes the way it tastes too!

Love

Kaleb has been such a great helper. He loves Jazelle so much, and is very protective of her. I am so lucky I have not gone through the jealousy stage. Lets hope it stays that way.

It's been so cold here lately, Kaleb decides Jazelle needs a blanket. He goes into his room gets a blanket and puts it on her.

Why not give her the pacifier too?

Today's comic

:) Don't Forget to Laugh!

You didn't know becoming a parent meant...

• Stacking today's unread newspaper on top of yesterday's unread newspaper.
• Eating dinner like we're trying to break a world record for the most pasta swallowed in the shortest amount of time. Standing up.
• Letting your partner choose between poop and laundry as a topic of conversation.
• Figuring out how to pee without putting the baby down.
• Wearing a bra that looks like something from a 1930s catalog.
• Spending three hours getting the baby to sleep and then waking her up two minutes later to make sure she's still breathing.
• Forgetting what you were...

My Princess 3 months old

At this age Jazelle loves to smile, laugh and talk. She focuses on everything, and can follow Jason and I with her eyes. She also loves to suck on her fist or any toy that she can grasp and hold.
I just love her chubby thighs

She loves watching the fish
