5 Months

Jazelle is 5 months now! I can't believe how much time has gone by. Jazelle is so much fun now, she smiles, coos, and loves to grab things and put them in her mouth. She is starting to want to sit up on her own, and gets frustrated if she is laying down for a long period of time. Her legs are so strong she loves to stand up when she is held. Tummy time she is doing great! Jason actualy got her to roll over! By hanging a toy over her to the side and she would grab for it, until she rolled over completely. She does not do this on her own yet, and can't wait till she figures it out!

Video of the Pony ride

This video is of Kaleb on the Medium speed track of the Pony Ride. It is so funny to see him bouncing up and down so fast.

Friday Fun

This past Friday my friend Steffanie and I decided to take our kids to Griffith park and ride the train and pony rides. It was another beautiful day. We ate sack lunches on the grass and rode the train and our kids rode the ponies 3 times, and had a blast!
Kaleb did very well on the pony for it being his first time ever! He wanted to go again and again. First we started them off with the ponie that were hooked and just walked in a circle, then we advanced them to the ponies that walked between wooden rails but were not hooked to anything, then we advanced them to the ponies that ran "medium speed" it was so funny to watch, but kaleb did a great job. I am so grateful he has been wanting to try new things, lately he's been eating salad!

Spring Swap

I had organized a "Spring Swap" a couple of weeks ago. I had people go through their homes and clear out things they didn't want or didn't use. I had items ranging from Clothing - Bikes. It was a great success and tons of work. Before hand I had people drop off their stuff to my house, because I had reserved the Clubhouse for this event and wanted to have everything set up for that night before hand. This was a great opportunity for people to get rid of their stuff and find new and more exciting things. I found some really cute clothes for myself.
I could not have done this without all the help of my friends with setting up and cleaning up afterwards. It was tons of fun. I think I'll do it again next year! but not alone.

Beautiful Day

We've had gorgeous 75 - 80* weather this whole week so me being who I am had to go out. I don't like staying in the house when the weather is gorgeous. So the kids and I have hardly been at home. We've been to the mall, Park, and even gone to see the ducks at a local nieghborhood on the other side of town. I really love California weather, and spring time.

4 months

At about 4 to 5 months, your baby can tell that two shades of blue are more alike than a blue and a green, even without knowing their names.

Jazelle had her 4 month checkup this past Tuesday. The doctor says she is growing very well and is so healthy. Jazelle did great for the most part until she got her 3 shots.

Here are her stats...

Weight: 13lbs
Hieght: 22 1/2 in
Head cir. : 41

I am happy with the way Jazelle is doing, she is such an easy going baby It couldn't get any better. She is doing ok on her sleeping, only wakes up about 2 -3x a night. She has mastered the "grasp" and loves to put her toys in her mouth. She has started to roll on her side but has not rolled over yet. She can support her head while on her tummy and arches her back. She loves to bounce in her bouncy chair. She continues to smile and laugh more. Jazelle has discovered a new sound andd makes it over and over. (it's a high pitch scream) She also loves to be held and loved.
We are so grateful she is in our lives. I love my little princess.

Date Night

Oh How I need more of these!

Date Night: "Planning Ahead "

Khozi (Chicken) CurryNext week, plan your date night early, perhaps on Tuesday. Tell your spouse you're planning something special, and then follow through. Take into account his or her tastes. If she prefers spontaneity, take her to that new restaurant you've both been wanting to try. If he enjoys sporting events, look for a local game (such as a college team's game, which tend to be less expensive), or go to the batting cages together.

Planning makes all the difference; you will both look forward to it all week, and, because you put in a little extra effort, it will make the time together even more special.

What a Handsome Boy

Kaleb finally recieved his first haircut yesterday. He did pretty good. He had a Barber actually cut his hair. Kaleb picked the red race car and pretended to drive it, while making car sounds. The Barber put the cloth around Kaleb's neck and Kaleb did not want anything to do with it so we took it off. From then on Kaleb was nervous durring the whole thing. The Barber got out his pick, and proceeded to pick Kaleb's hair, it soon was was big Fro. For a moment he actually looked of Black decent. (LoL) anyways the Barber then pulled out the clippers, and began to clip his sides and back.  Kaleb at this point was wiggling all over because he was so nervous, from the loud noise and vibrations of the clippers. Finally it was finished. And he looked as Handsome as ever!

Kaleb's sayings

Kaleb started to talk really early so at this point he know s how to talk back.. this is what he told me the other day.

Kaleb: Mommy I want milkie.

Me: How about Lemonade?

Kaleb: No how about Milkie?

We've been practicing saying our prayers. Kaleb has to say it everynight. Awhile ago he was just  mumbling and saying nonsense. So I tell Kaleb to say it right.
It was my turn to say the prayer, I started and was interuppted in the middle with Kaleb saying "mommy say it right!"

He has gotten much better now and actually tells Heavenly father what he has done that day.

I just love my little stinker!

Today's funnies

:) Don't Forget to Laugh!

What to say when other new parents tell you their baby is sleeping through the night:

• "I heard that not sleeping is actually the new sleeping!"
• "Ours, too! Wait, does two hours in a row count as through the night?"
• "Liar, liar, pants on fire."
