7 yr Anniversary Surprise

December 28th 2009, Jason and I celebrated our 7yr wedding anniversary.
We were so fortunate to have his parents in town visiting to watch our kids.
Jason had planned a surprise trip and did not give me any clues.

I was only told to wear nice clothes, so My mother in law and I went out shopping the night before.

The next day we got dressed up, packed and headed out.
As we were driving on the 5 freeway I still couldn't guess where we were headed to, until I saw him get off on the LAX Airport exit!
I asked are we going to the airport? he said maybe!! I was so excited!

We arrived at LAX and figured out we were going to San Fransisco!
He then told me we were flying First Class! oh it was so much fun, I had never flown 1st class before what a difference.

We landed in San Fransisco and took a Taxi to our Hotel. It was the 1st and dirtiest Taxi I have ever been in! I mean yuck!
We arrived at our beautiful Hotel in downtown, that afternoon.

So as soon as we settle our stuff down we head out!
First we go and find a place to buy me some more comfortable shoes, all I have brought were my boots, and with all the walking my feet were killing me.

Then we head to the mall for lunch, and shopping some more for a jacket for Jason.
It was a bit cold in San Fran, after walking what seemed like forever we finally found something.
Now we were both comfortable.

We weren't sure what we were going to do that night a movie or going to do the raffle for Wicked!
We decided to try for the raffle, but instead ended up buying tickets for that night's show! We got a great deal because someone had cancelled. We got 6th row from the center seating.
The show didn't start for another 2 hrs so we headed back to the hotel.

On our way back it was getting dark and we had went down the wrong street to get to our hotel.
The street was very dirty, there are a lot of homeless in San fran and that already makes me uneasy. So we are walking and there are random people standing and talking, as we pass they murmur something, and I notice start to follow us! ok I was scared already and this wasn't helping, so we are walking as fast as we could. We pass other people on the way up the hill trying to sell drugs to us! agh! we just wanted to get out of there.
Thankfully we made it to our hotel.
We had a delicious dinner before the show and walked a different way to the Theater.
The show was amazing.

It was raining when we got out of the theater so we caught a cab home.

The next day we got to sleep in!!
Then took the trolley down to Ghiradelli square and Fisherman's Warf.

We had such a wonderful time together and I am grateful for everything Jason has done for me and our family. He is such a wonderful husband and father.
I love you Babe!

Ward Christmas program

The week before Christmas we had our Ward Christmas party. This was a stressful time for me, now being the Activities Chairman, my committee and I planed the whole program. And I am happy to say it went perfectly. I got a whole bunch of congratulations afterwards.

Program went as follows..
The children were able to visit Santa 1st.

Soft Christmas music played in the background, while people chatted.
A yummy Dinner was served, Ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, rolls and a salad.

I had also had a Santa's workshop set up for the kids, to do crafts. The play dough was a big hit.

Then a wonderful Nativity Primary program was performed.

Then Desert was served soon after that.

I had realized at the end of the night I had not even sat down or had Dinner!
My feet were so sore, and I was exhausted and hungry.
I am grateful for all the help I had received, and for Jason for providing such a great sound system.

The Bishop was very pleased, he had said there were over 200 people there! A lot of members had brought friends and family.
What a great time of year.

Kaleb's School Christmas program

Kaleb did great for his 1st school program. Seeing the kids all dressed up in their characters were so cute. Kaleb was one of the 3 wise men. Day's before he had memorized his part.. "Look at the bright new star! let's follow it to where baby Jesus has been born." The program was cute, a little hectic with emotional children, who didn't want to say their part, but all was good.

They too sang a few songs. Afterwards they were given gifts from their teacher, and the children also gave a gift to their parents.
I love watching Kaleb and can't wait to see more performances.

Christmas

Jazelle got to experience Christmas for real this year, and loved it!
Here she is decorating the tree.

Kaleb helped Daddy put up the Christmas tree and decorate it.
He loves to help Daddy with everything he is doing.

My sister Latorr came over Christmas Eve and spent the night to spent Christmas day with us.

Christmas morning I made a yummy quiche.
After opening the presents we got to enjoy our breakfast.

Here Kaleb is enjoying the game Grandma had bought him.
and Santa had brought him a wonderful scooter and new helmet!

Jazelle loves to read books, here Jason is reading her the Nativity story.

Kaleb's favorite toy Santa brought him was Team Geo Trax.
Santa brought Jazelle a rocking horse which was her favorite.

Later on that afternoon Grandpa came over for Christmas Dinner, and Aunt Destiny stopped by also.
It was so nice to have family around at Christmas and to watch the kids eyes gleam.

Happy Birthday Jason!

While in Utah we celebrated Jason's 31st Birthday!

Kaleb says..

While in Vegas we decided to go walk the strip to see the fountain show at the Bellagio. We were crossing a bridge from our hotel to the street, and all of a sudden Kaleb says..

Mommy Daddy I saw Jesus!!

We replied, What?

Kaleb again says.. I saw Jesus over there!

We look back and see a scruffy man sitting on the side of the bridge. ( he was homeless)
To Kaleb he looked like Jesus, he had long hair a beard and a mustache.
We quickly told him No Jesus does not live in Las Vegas.

CandleLight Christmas

While visiting Utah during Thanksgiving our family went to a CandleLight Christmas Program.
It was at night and FREEZING! but we had fun anyway. Jason's Grandparents went with us too!

Our Family.

My sister in laws Family.

Waiting for the train
The rest of the Fam on the train.

Father Time was there! Kaleb couldn't wait to see him, and Jazelle really didn't care.
She did love the candy cane she got afterwards.

In one building they had dancing here is Grandma GG and Papa GG doing a folk dance.

Another building they had arts and crafts, while the kids were crafting carolers came in and serenaded us.

The Reason we have Christmas.

The best part of the night was walking through the Stable and seeing the Nativity. They had real farm animals surrounding the barn. Mary and Joseph were also real.
What a beautiful sight.
