I surprised myself at how well I did, 11th place in my age group and it only took me 33 min to complete 3 miles. Thanks to my ipod and pumped up music. I have to admit Justin Bieber got me through the last leg. "Never Say Never" :)

I am happy for the friends I have to challenge me to do things, I've always wanted to do.

Mini Vacation

I love how we can have a Mini vacation every time Jason has to go out of town for work. His job has taken us to Hawaii, New York, Connecticut, Anaheim, and San Diego.

Our recent trip was to Anaheim, Jason had to go to a 3 day training so I decided what an opportunity to get a break. So we picked a more family friendly hotel for us to stay at, for the same price his work was going to put him up in. The decision was Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel.

Every morning we dropped Jason off 15 min away to his class. And enjoyed the rest of the time swimming, watching movies, and exploring Downtown Disney.

My kids love swimming, and I am always happy to take them to the pool on a beautiful day.

The pool area also had a water slide but Kaleb decided not to try it out.

The best part of the Hotel they had a mini movie theater in which they showed classic Mickey Mouse movies.

Hoover Dam

New Years in Utah

It has been a long time since Jason and I went out or even stayed up for a New Years. But when we were invited to My Mother and Sister in laws performance downtown in the Joseph Smith Building, I am not going to lie I did hesitate a little because their performance was at 11pm. My bed time is usually 10pm and I didn't think I could stay up that late plus I was nervous to leave Bryce. But it all went good and we enjoyed the night. The performances were amazing!

My Mother in law Shawna is Classical singer and did an amazing job.

My sister in law Amie has a beautiful voice and sings Broadway.

This couple is a married couple and did a great job together. I leaned over to my brother in law and jokingly said I wounder what it sounds like when then fight? Do they sing it out!

Princess

I have to admit having a girl is so much fun! Jazelle is a total princess, she loves anything girly. Jazelle's hair is crazy curly and a big fro, on the days I do not do it, but I do get compliments from strangers and friends. Anytime I get together with my family they always want to "fix" her hair haha. My cousin Nisha has a talent with doing hair, she has a beautiful daughter the same age as Jazelle and her daughters hair is always so cute and styled. One day we planned a pllaydate and after she came over with my Aunt's and I asked her if she can do Jazelle's hair in beads. I remember as a little girl having beads in my hair.

It only took her a little over an hour and Jazelle sat there the whole time hardly fussing. We loved the the style. She would swing her head around and listen to the clinking of the beads.

When it came time to take the braids out she would not let me, so I had to leave them in a little longer. I wish I had the talent and patience to do that kind of work. But until then I will count on my cousin ;)

Soccer

Jazelle was invited by her buddy Chase to join him in a free soccer class. We put Kaleb in the same class at the same age and she didn't do as good, but had so much fun anyway.

ELLEN!!!

I absolutely love the Ellen DeGeneres Show, awhile back (December) I went to her sight and requested tickets wanting to get into her 12 days of giveaways, like everyone else in the country. It is on a 1st come 1st serve basis, so when I saw "Tickets available" I jumped right on it. They called me about the date I had requested and said they had "stand by' tickets. So I gave it a try. I invited my good friend Gen Whitely. We stood in line and waited to see if we could get into the show, they only take a hand full of standby people, once again 1st come 1st serve. We weren't able to get into the live taping but got to sit in the "rift raft room" off to the side. Not so much fun, but Ellen did come back and stood at the top of the stairs to acknowledge us and waved! :) The plus side of this room is that you pick a date to come back again for a guaranteed audience seat!

3 months had passed and we got our guaranteed tickets! We were so excited, we had made friends with a mother and her daughter the 1st time we went, and met them again this time and sat with them.

Jason stayed home and watched the kids both times we went which I am truly grateful for.

We got in and they told us that we were taping Ellen's 1800th show! We knew we had to get a giveaway :)

They sat us and I was told to sit in the isle seat. I guess I looked good enough for the camera haha. I love to dance and Ellen's show you do a whole lot of it, seriously it was a workout. I was even called to go up in front and show my moves! (Before they started taping) I had the time of my life. They started taping and came dancing up to our isle and stopped right next to us. I am seen on TV for a few, and yes we got a giveaway, a flip camcorder!

8yr Anniversary

While also in Utah Jason and I celebrated our 8 yr Anniversary, and got to go out on a lovely date without the children. We made reservations to a fancy buffet restaurant downtown, called The Roof. We had been there once before and it was delicious. It had a beautiful view of the Salt Lake Temple.

SNOW!!

While in Utah it snowed! and pretty good :) Kaleb LOVED it. He practically ran outside to play in it. His cousin Landon joined him.

A few days later we all decided to go out to the local park and go sledding.

I was not prepared for the snow and had no appropriate clothes, so Bryce and I spent most of the time in the nice warm car.

Jungle Gyms

While in Utah for Christmas vacation we visited an indoor amusement park called Jungle Gyms, it was so much fun! The weather outside was cold and snowy, this was a great place to get away from being in the house.

Kaleb's favorite activity was the Bumper cars.

Daddy had to get on the action too even though he was 10 times too big.

I dreaded this ride. You could pull the lever up and down and the car would lift up and down while going in a circle. It seemed like the ride never was going to stop I felt dizzy the whole day.

Jazelle is a thrill seeker, she was the only one on these swings.

I just love how happy they are.

We played a giant version of Hungry Hungry Hippo! and I won.

I think Nona regretted this ride. It was the kind that spun around so fast, then stopped and started to go backwards really fast. It was comical, Jazelle looked like she was going to fly out.

Christmas in Utah

We had a great Christmas in Utah visiting with family we haven't seen in a year. The kids loved playing with their cousins.

We had a great Christmas in California this year. It is always nice to spend time with family and friends during the Holiday season. Santa had come to our house on Christmas Eve!

The kids got most of what they asked for. If you are wondering what the red light is, it's a police siren that flashes. If you know Kaleb you know he is obsessed with Police officers and Firemen. He also received some police crime scene tape.

Jazelle loves chocolate, she received a lady bug pillow pet, A stroller for her new baby doll, and lots of girl stuff, including Tinker bell panties!

Remote control helicopter was a hit!

Bryce is loving his new teething toys.

After Christmas at our home we got to go to Palmdale to visit more family and have a Christmas Dinner. The kids had a blast seeing everyone and playing with their cousin. The dinner was absolutely yummy, and the company was great.

After dinner came present time again the kids were so excited and received a ton of stuff.

Jazelle got a tricycle from her great aunts, a play kitchen grandma and grandpa, and more clothing. Kaleb loved receiving a remote control car, and a handsome suit for church.

We love our family :)

Ward Christmas party

This was my last Ward party as the Activities Committee Chairman. It was a ton of stress for a couple weeks, but it all turned out great! People were happy, food was yummy and everyone just enjoyed each other. I am grateful for all my committee members who helped out.

Santa was 1st like we did last year, then dinner and entertainment.

I wanted to Thank my husband also for his huge help in this as well, he took all the Santa pictures, and set up the background music, and some finishing up touches on decorations.

LA Temple Lights

Preschool Christmas Program

Kaleb's Preschool put on a wonderful Nativity Program. All the kids did so well, especially my little man. He was one of the 3 wise men.

After the program they sang a couple songs, Kaleb was just about the loudest one. He knew all the words and sang so well. We were proud.

The kids were given special gifts, Blankets! Each one was unique matching the child's personality, Kaleb received a Construction one.

Santa @ Bass Pro

Have you ever been to a Bass Pro Shop? We haven't until now, it was Amazing! We heard Santa was going to be there and you got a free picture with him, so we headed to our closest one in Rancho Cucamonga, Ca which is about 2 hours away. The kids were so excited to see Santa.

We had seen the Bass Pro shop on TV before and wanted to check it out so this was a great opportunity.

We got there it was a rainy day, and to our amazement the place was huge! It had a section for all your outdoor needs. Camping, Boating, Hunting,Fishing, etc.

Yogi Bear

The Grove Farmers Market

Had a premiere party for the new movie Yogi Bear. I decided it would be fun to take the kids.

I brought my friend Gen along with her 2 younger brothers.

The kids got to decorate Yogi cookies.

We then rode the trolley.

Yogi Bear and his friend Boo Boo were there to greet everyone.

They were also raffling different prizes every 1/2 hour, one being premiere movie tickets which I had won, it was a family 4 pack.

So a couple weeks later I took my family to the Chinese Groman Theater in Hollywood to watch the movie. When we got there at our time, we were told there was a typo in the movie time showing it was actually earlier than what the ticket said. The kids were bummed. so they rescheduled us to watch it during the week, still before it came out. We then drove to Santa Monica on a Monday night after visiting the LA Temple.

Girl's Night Out

I Love going out with the girl's when I can.

I recently found an old coworker of mine I used to teach preschool with on facebook. It has been 4 yrs since I have seen or even talked to her. She has moved to Hawaii due to her husband in the military, he has recently gotten deployed to Afghanistan so she came back home for a few weeks.

We met at a local restaurant and got to catch up.

The next Girl's Night Out I went to was with the Boot Camp ladies.

A friend of mine in our ward has started a boot camp for anyone that is interested, Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings in our church building

We all met up at The Olive Garden for dinner and chatting.

Amy our instructor is in the pink plaid shirt, she is amazing! I started going to her class at my 6 week mark, when I was allowed to exercise after having Bryce and have been going since. I love it, she kicks our booty's while still having fun. She has recently challenged us to do a 5k locally in March. I can't wait, it will be my first.

Thanksgiving

There are so many things I am Thankful for.

1- My Family (all of them)

2- My husband and his stable job

3-My children

4-My health

and so much more.

This Thanksgiving we celebrated with my family. No one wanted to cook so I found a coupon to Bucca Di Beppo saying they served Thanksgiving dinner, I quickly made a reservation.

We all had a great time being together and enjoying each other's company.

Jason turned the big 32 on November 28th. what he really wanted for his Birthday was an Ice cream cake, so we headed to Dairy queen and he picked out his cake, while I sat in the car with a sleeping baby.

We then headed home to enjoy this yummy cake.

Sang Happy Birthday, Kaleb and Jazelle helped blow out the candles.

It was a good tasting cake but not worth $30!

Every year our community has a Halloween party, with food, and a costume contest.

They had all the kids go up on the stage and the 3 judges took a look at everyone. Then the kids got down while the judges tallied up there votes. There was a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place prize.

Bryce was a pumpkin, Jazelle was a princess and of course Kaleb went as a Police officer.

So guess who won 3rd and 2nd place? We did! Bryce won 3rd place.

And Kaleb won 2nd place.

We got a McDonald's gift card and a gift card to our local sweet factory.

The little Angel Baby won 1st place.

Beach Day

Last month (November) we were having record high temperatures, so I decided I wanted to take the kids to the beach. My dear fiend Gen and her husband came along to help me out. It was such a hot day, even too hot for the beach (90s), but we made the day fun anyway.

Jazelle was not to fond of the sand or the water. When she did walk in the sand we gave her tons of praise.

Kaleb has never been in the ocean either, he too was afraid but this time he got over his fear and loved it. He didn't want to leave.

Gen always gets Bryce to sleep.

My kids do not like to get dirty, so playing in the sand is a BIG accomplishment.

I took Jazelle to get her nails painted, she did so well. She picked out her own color and sat very still in th chair.

I also got a pedicure.

At 2 years old Jazelle is 26 in long and weighs a whopping 21 lbs.

Youngstars Halloween Party

This will be our 2nd annual trip to the Fair. We always have a good time.

The weather was so hot that day, they had a new attraction which was like an ice box, Jason took Kaleb in. They had different ice carvings of famous things around Los Angeles.

We love the dinosaur exhibit. These are robotic dinosaurs.

The petting zoo is also a must!

After having a fun filled morning at the Pumpkin patch the party moved over to our house. We had pizza, presents and cake!

On the weekend before Jazelle's Birthday we decided to celebrate at our local pumpkin patch. (Lombardi Ranch) It was a beautiful day filled with friends, family and fun.

Another visit to the Zoo

October 28th Jazelle's birthday I decided to take the kids to the zoo. I had conquered it alone with 3 kids also. So proud. I had borrowed a friends sit n stand stroller, it was a life saver and a body builder. At the LA Zoo there is nothing but hills. Imagine pushing, 33lbs plus 20lbs plus 10 lbs up and down and all around.

We had a blast though.

The kids really enjoyed the petting zoo.

Jazelle is obsessed with her princess sun glasses.

But she does look very cute.

Bryce was such a good baby, the whole day he did not make a fuss.

At the end of our day we caught the last Bird show. They were in aw.

Jazelle would say ooh awe every second.

I am so grateful to have such wonderful cute kids. I am told at least everyday that I have my hands full. I agree but I wouldn't change it for the world.

At our local mall they had a program where there was a kid friendly cooking demonstration.

It was back in October so it was Halloween themed. Kaleb seemed to enjoy it, and Jazelle quickly lost interest in it, when she saw the balloon arch, so Jason had to help her out.

Jazelle is a character, but I think she may be confused.

She loves to try out baby Bryce's stuff, she will swing in his swing, bounce in his bouncy chair, and pretend to sleep in his bassinet.

Then by surprise one day, I find her with my breast pump.

At least she knows whats best for baby. She will be a great mother some day.

I just love this boy. Bryce here is almost 3 months old. He is always pulling himself up to try to sit up so I got out the Bumpo chair and he loved it for a little while.

Dick's Sporting Goods

I just had to get out one day, didn't know where we were going and stumbled upon a Sporting goods store I had never been in to. Walked in and the kids were amazed.

They tried on Baseball helmets, gloves, and swung the bat.

Kaleb really wanted this bat, it was real and made of wood.

We explored the whole store, the exercise department was my favorite.

The golf part was a huge hit also, they had little putting greens so you could try out your club.

We were at the store for at least an hour, and left with two unhappy kids, but it was fun.

1st dental appointment

Jazelle had her 1st cleaning and did great! I received a coupon in the mail when you bring your child in before their 2nd birthday they will receive a free checkup. I jumped on it because Jason and I have been worried about her teeth. They have been slow in growing in.

First the dental assistant checked her out, then the dentist came to "count her teeth" Jazelle kept her mouth open for her the whole time. I was shocked also because when I brush her teeth I have to pry her mouth open. The dentist decided that they would clean her teeth also because she was doing so good.

Kaleb also that day had his checkup/ cleaning. They took ex-rays of his teeth and he did wonderful. Gagged and some points :(. I told him it was ok, I still gag too.

Both of them had healthy teeth NO CAVITIES!

After they received a new toothbrush, a balloon, and got to go in the treasure box.

4 yr check up

Kaleb had his 4 yr check up last month and he did great! He had to change into a gown and looked so cute. The nurse measured his height ( 38 inches ) and weighed him ( 33 lbs ).

He even received 4 shots, and was so brave didn't even shed a tear. Kaleb is so smart at 4 and loves to learn new things all the time. his favorite question is "Why?"

Getting to Know Sherry Gottfredson

Sherry Gottfredson

Sherry was born in Los Angeles and was adopted when she was 3 years old. Her parents were members and she has 2 sisters.

Sherry went to Canyon High she ran track and sang in the choir. Sherry meet Jason in the singles ward and they have been married for 6 years, she married Jason when she was 19. They have 2 children a son Kaleb, and a daughter Jazelle. Sherry and Jason meet through friends at Church, and she asked him to dance. She knew when she meet him he was the one!

When Sherry and Jason first started dating they went off roading in Frazier Park and got stuck and had to spend the night together in the car, over night with no phone, no food, they ended up having to hike 10 miles while they were hiking out, their families had search and rescue looking for them. They finally came to a home were they were able to call family to let them know what had happened, but the sheriff had to pick them up because they were reported lost. Friends and Family thought the eloped to Vegas!

When they were hiking out the 10 miles, Sherry only had a pair of flip flop sandals on so Jason would share his sturdy shoes with her every couple of miles, they would trade off the only good pair of shoes so her feet wouldn’t be the only ones getting beat up by the brush and rough terrene.

Sherry was a pre School teacher for 4 years.

Her callings in the Church have mostly been in primary, she is the Relief Society chorister, and recently has been called to be the activities leader, Brave girl!

Sherry’s favorite food is Mexican, she likes to work out when she can, going to 24 hour fitness taking kick boxing classes, and she enjoys signing and dancing. She is really into reality shows, Biggest Loser, Amazing Race, she likes to hang out with her husband and kids, going to the beach, camping going to the Grand Canyon, Yosemite she prefers Hotels…….

California Science Center

I love our family adventures. This time we decided to visit the California Science Center, neither of us had ever been except for the Bodies exhibit. We still can't believe it is free! After looking at a friends pictures on their Facebook page of the museum, I wanted to go instantly.

Here Kaleb and I are picking up a truck!

The part of the museum we visited was called Eco Systems.

There was a desert room, had animals and was actually pretty warm inside, A room interactive for the kids about trees, and the best part were the aquariums!

After visiting makes you appreciate all the things this beautiful earth has.

We finished off with a nice healthy lunch. We had the choice between Taco Bell, McDonald's and a little Cafe. Glad we chose the Cafe.

We then headed over to The African American Museum, which was also free and interesting.

In one particular room it was themed around slavery. There were tons of letters former slaves have written, from ceiling to floor in this cabin like thing. in the middle of the room was a slave statue with a chain around her neck.

And too the side were molds of slaves chained to each other simulating the boat ride to America.

There sleeping quarters were very small.

Curious Kaleb asked question after question.

"Daddy why does that lady have a chain around her neck?"

Jason had to pull Kaleb aside and explain what happened.

"Daddy what's a slave?" Kaleb asked in a very loud voice.

oh dear.

I am grateful for his curiosity and eagerness to learn.

We then headed over to the Air and Space museum, also free!

Kaleb started back to school 2 weeks ago! He and I couldn't be happier. He has new friends and some old friends. He goes to school 3 days a week ;) and loves every minute of it. He is so smart and continues to amaze us with the things he says and comes up with.

Since just having a baby I didn't feel like throwing a huge party for Kaleb. We decided it would be family only, and he got to pick the place to have it at. A new park opened up by our house a month before, and he chose it because he likes to climb on the rocks there, so we planned it for that evening because it was way too hot outside. My mom, dad, sister, and aunts came to celebrate with us.

Happy Birthday Kaleb! On his actual birthday Aug. 10th, 2010 we were invited to my Aunt's house for a little party and swimming. The kids had a great time.

The youth in our Stake had a Service Day for Youth Conference this year. They were helping families in need. We were instant candidates because I had just had a baby, so we came up with some jobs. Wash my car and plant new flowers into our front planter. Kaleb and Jazelle were great helpers.

A Day Out

I am always taking the kids to do something. It's they way i am I just can't sit around the house all day, so I decided that we would go feed the horses. My sister destiny used to ride at this ranch so we go there because I am familiar with it. It was a beautiful morning not too hot yet. We walked around at first and said hi and watched a few horses run around. Kaleb and Jazelle loved watching the girl's ride their horses in the center ring.

This horse was so interested in Bryce.

Jazelle was a bit scared of the horses, but Kaleb enjoyed feeding them and was very brave.

Mind you these animals are huge! even to me.

Natural History Museum

Once again we visited the natural history Museum on it's free day and decided to invite Kaleb's friends who have never been. I love having a van now because we were able to fit everyone. So we leave in the morning and arrive a half hour later to find a line out the door! hundreds of kids on the lawn, having lunch, and tons of school buses. I had forgotten it was summer time and all the camps would probably take advantage of the free day. We decided to go anyway. We started off having a picnic lunch, and then heading in, it was so crowded and not worth staying too long but we had fun anyway.

3 weeks

I can't believe 3 weeks has gone by already.

Bryce is such a good baby and rarely cries. He has been fussy toward the evening hrs due to gassiness. He is a great sleeper during the day.

He loves to hear mommies voice.

During his check up the doctor was amazed with his weight gain.

He was born 5 lbs 9oz, left the hospital @ 6lbs 4oz and @ 3 weeks weighed in @ 7lbs 6oz.

We are so grateful to have him in our family.

Jason works down in Beverly Hills sometimes for his side job. We decided to go with him on a Saturday and hang out in "the Mansion" Jason has helped this guy out with his home by installing security cameras, and hooking up the movie theater. We got to watch movies while Jason worked. After the work was all done we headed to the local park which had a man made stream running through it. The kids had so much fun. after we were done with the park we headed to a local Diner to have a yummy dinner.

The Circus came to town while my Mother in law was here. She had told me before that she had never been to the circus, amazed I bought her tickets to go with Jason and the kids. They had a blast. I was at home just Bryce and I wishing I was at the circus too, but it was a nice quite, peaceful day.

After spending 4 days in the hospital with high blood pressure the whole time, having the nurses give me a million pills that didn't work. Giving blood so they can test it, I was finally fed up and called Jason the night I had a breakdown, to come and give me a blessing the next day. He showed up with the Bishop and I was so relieved. It's great to have a husband who holds the priesthood. I felt much more calm after my blessing.

It was great to come home, to my bed to yummy food, and my children I missed dearly.

The next day Jason took the kids to the airport to pick up his mom.

Jazelle had to give it a try. She really was excited about her baby brother I promise.

I just want to thank my mom and Mother in law for all the help the 1st week. Recovery was harder this time than any other.

We also received meals this week from friends at church and boy were they yummy. I am so grateful to have people around me that care and love to help.

He is here and I couldn't be any more happier. I was scheduled to have my c-section on 7/7/10. Was also told to be at the hospital no later than 10:30am, which meant my c-section would be in the afternoon. My mom and Aunt came down in the morning to watch Kaleb and Jazelle. Jason and I drove down to Mission Hills, went into admissions and had to sign papers, and pay the copay $300. Then they wheeled me off into Labor and delivery. I really wanted to walk because I was capable but it was procedure or something.

Checked into labor and delivery, got changed into the gown and sat around waiting. As we arrived there they were so busy, 3 women were about to give birth and the nurses were trying to locate doctors. I was taken to a room hooked up to the monitors and waited some more.

The nurse came to give me my IV. I was nervous this time because it took 3 times my last pregnancy for them to get it right. It only took her one try I was so relieved. Then a few minutes later my arm started to swell up, the IV was leaking! Once again she had to do it over.

My blood pressure was high at this point and the nurses were getting worried, told me to relax, I tried but was so nervous and anxious. We were told that we were being pushed back because of an Emergency, so i had to wait even longer, I was so hungry and thirsty at this point but still could not eat or drink. Jason hadn't had breakfast either and was getting hungry.

My blood pressure kept going up and staying high, they ordered blood tests and called the doctor.

Finally it would be my turn to go in, as I entered the cold operating room the nerves again started to race, in the corner one nurse was counting the instruments, and I was being prepped for my spinal. Finally the doctors come in and start. This time it seemed like it took forever to get him out, they pushed, tugged, and even used the vacuum, and he was out!

Jason says the nurse was "picture happy" and I am glad for that, you can never get enough pictures.

While waiting in the recovery room, Jason had brought Bryce to me, I could not even hold him then because I was so dizzy and nauseous. I got to have ice chips but did not feel any better. My good friend Jen Medina came to visit me after work. She got a job at the same hospital.

I was finally able to go to my room. Jason and Bryce were there waiting for me.

And it was so yummy, I had to fast for the surgery, no eating later than midnight. So I stuffed myself and really enjoyed my meal.

4th of July this year was a great family day. We started off going to church, then returning home putting the kids down to nap, then we had a Carne Asada BBq dinner yum.

We then headed out to a local park for fireworks. It was very crowded but so much fun. We saw a few friends from church, and one of Kaleb's classmates were there with his family. We packed some snacks and water as we waited for the the Day turn into Night.

The show was amazing and beautiful. Jazelle was very frightened in the beginning and would hide under the blanket while saying "All done". But soon started to enjoy it as we started to name the colors of the fireworks. Kaleb enjoyed every second of the show and talked through the whole 30 min. "wow! did you see that?"

I am so grateful for the Freedom our country has, and those that have and are fighting to keep it that way.

Griffith park

Our friends are in town from China and we decided to get together and take the kids down to Griffith park for the Pony rides. Kaleb has done them before, but Jazelle has never done it. I wasn't worried for her because she is a dare devil and loves animals. The helper lifted Jazelle up onto the pony she was no scared at all, strapped her in and off they went. I thought that she would cry and try to get off but No! She held on and smiled every time she passed by me.

After that we had some lunch.

Kaleb wanted to ride on the bigger pony. "The slow one" he kept saying.

After visiting the ponies Kaleb wanted to go to the Train Museum so bad so I drove over there by the time we got there Jazelle and her friend Ryann were fast asleep. So my friend agreed to stay in the car while I took Kaleb to look around.

Taekwon Do

We have signed Kaleb up for Teakwon Do for the summer through the city. And he absolutely loves it! He is doing do well. The Master and his people are amazing and so nice to the kids.

They teach great principles and the best one is to say Yes sir/yes mam to the parents haha.

The kids also repeat that they are special and unique.

Father's Day

Father's day was a typical Sunday, Jason went off to his church meetings in the morning, came home picked us up and we all headed to church. The little kids got up and sang a couple Father's Day songs to their dads. It is so cute watching Kaleb up there with his peers. He didn't seem to know the songs too well and was just wiggling around. The women had prepared cookie treats for the men that day and we got to enjoy some leftovers.

Then headed home and had a great relaxing time as a family.

I am so grateful for Jason he is a wonderful father and husband. The kids absolutely Love him and look up to him. Kaleb wants to be just like him, and Jazelle is his princess.

Baby Shower

A couple weeks ago I had my baby shower. Two of my good friends and I have put it on, and it turned out to be a success. My friend Shay came up with the idea of having a Dinner/Diaper party. Since it was my 3rd baby I did have all I needed. The invitees were told to bring diapers and or a frozen dinner for my family for after the baby is born. I had rented out my Clubhouse and we had tons of yummy food, drinks, and fun games.

Shay had made me an awesome huge diaper cake! I love those those things.

I love to play games at parties and decided to find the not so common Baby shower games, and the 3 I found were a hit.

We played Baby Bingo, a Left/Right game (I read a story and every time I said left or right you had to pass the gift in that direction.) and the hit / most expensive game was the what would this candy represent game. I had bought 15 pieces of candy and each one represented something to do with Pregnancy/labor and the players had to guess.

example: tootsie roll= baby toes

Dr. Pepper= Doctor

Swedish fish= sperm

100 Grand= Hospital bill

and so forth, it was so funny to see my friends race to see who could grab it 1st.

Last day of school

Kaleb had his last day of school a couple weeks ago, and his class spent it at the local park, with lunch and goodies.

Kaleb has learned so much at school and has made good friends. He loves his teacher Grandma K, and we are so grateful for her love and patience with all the kids. Kaleb can now write his name, recognize the alphabet and their sounds. He has experienced so much with Grandma K, at the beginning of school he was the only one not potty trained, they have watch caterpillars grow into butterflies, and gone on many behind the scenes field trips. We cannot wait till the next year to see what else he can learn.

False Alarm

I am 37 weeks pregnant (9months) and have been getting more and more uncomfortable, with my C-section date coming up(July 7) I am also getting anxious. So having what seemed like severe lower back pain to me last Saturday I was getting fed up. If I would stand to long back pain, sit for too long back pain! I have never really experienced this with my other pregnancies. I decided to turn in early to bed that night. Woke up as usual tossing and turning of being uncomfortable. It was 3am and I was moaning because of cramping/ tightening of my stomach. It wasn't too bad but something I haven't gone through before. I though oh no! WHAT IF i WAS IN LABOR! It didn't last long, but then again it was happening again and again and again! It would only last for no longer than a minute. I got out of bed because i just could not sleep, and went online to research Labor contractions, I was up for at least an hour and a half. Figured out they were not the "Real" ones. phew! I thought oh no! if I was having the real one's then we would have to wake everyone up and go to the hospital , plus i wasn't ready and didn't have my bag packed. Guess I have to be prepared now.

Went to church the next day Father's Day and was pretty exhausted yet happy.

Monday I had a doctor's appointment and told her about my false alarm. She said to take it easy. No more lifting heavy things (Jazelle). She checked his heartbeat and everything was good, she was really happy with my weight gain 5 lbs in 2 weeks! yikes and i feel it too. Now I am at the point where I go in every week! well I only have 2 left! I am excited yet nervous at the same time. I hope that our baby boy is healthy and strong.

Girl's Utah Trip

Last month Jazelle and I got to fly to Utah for a Girl's trip, what a fun experience. It was Jazelle's 1st airplane ride and my 1st time alone going through the airport. Jason and Kaleb helped us check in inside and we were on our way. Jazelle was so excited to see all the planes.

I had picked the window seat ahead of time so that Jazelle wouldn't be tempted to walk in the isles. Being 7 months pregnant I did not want to be chasing her. We were lucky everyone had boarded the plane and no one sat in the middle of us! it was supposed to be a full flight, so Jazelle got some much needed space.

The whole flight to Salt lake she did not sit still, the tray table was a big hit.

We arrived in Salt Lake, My father in law picked us up and we headed home. right when we got there Jazelle made herself comfortable in the house and was not shy at all.

It has been awhile since she had seen Papa G and Nona, but fell in love with them as soon as she walked in the door.

We had a great time while visiting, we met up with my sister in law and her kids and went to a children's interactive museum. It was so much fun.

My Inlaws have moved to a beautiful place in Midvale Utah.

Later that day we had a Lunch date with Jason's Aunt. I had been talking with her through Facebook but have never met her before. It was so nice to finally meet her.

She is beautiful and has a wonderful spirit.

We met at the mall and she brought along 2 beautiful girls. Her granddaughters, I still can't believe she is a grandma.

We got to attend church and had to leave that evening.

My mother in law helped us again check into the airport and sent us on our way. We arrived early so I decided to hang out in the gift shop. Once we were kicked out I decided to head down to the gate, good thing because as we were walking to it they had a last call for boarding! We almost missed our plane! Apparently they were boarding early, so we got on everyone is in their seats and we have to squeeze into our window seat. As the plane is getting ready to leave the gate Jazelle vomits. I mean it was projectile too, I tried to catch as much as it as i could. The poor lady in the middle was frantically pushing the attendant button. Jazelle finally stopped and was feeling better as for me I was covered and so was the area where we were sitting. They brought us tons of towels and napkins, poured coffee grounds to mask the smell. Luckly I had an extra shirt for Jazelle in my bag. That was an experience, the lady in the middle had moved to another seat so yay for us again more room. It was so nice to get back home and see Jason and Kaleb.

My Mother's day weekend was so fun. It started with us going down to The Grove Farmers Market for Breakfast, at the Crepe shop. I have never had a crepe before and wanted to try it, and it was tasty :) Kaleb and Jazelle shared a huge waffle. After finishing up breakfast we walked around for a bit and watched the dancing fountain. It was a beautiful day.

After leaving the Grove we decided to go see the La Brea Tar Pits. A place I haven't been to since I was a kid.

These are real Tar Pits, the scientist are still finding bones in.

And phew did it smell.

And here is my surprise present.

Natural History Museum

We have museum free days the 1st Tuesday or Thursday of the month. I couldn't pass up something that was free! So I decided to take Jazelle and Kaleb to The Natural History Museum. Kaleb had school that day so after school we drove to LA. I love to get out and do things with the kids. It was a beautiful sunny California day as usual.

They had an outside Butterfly Garden, the kids were free but I had to pay a couple dollars, and it was worth it. There were tons of Butterflies flying around and landing right in front of you! We weren't allowed to touch them, but were very tempted. Jazelle was destined to pick one up, but they flew away so fast and startled her. :)

There were tons of different kind of butterflies. We learned that if they land and you shade them they will fly away because they are trying to warm up in the sun. It was a great experiment.

Inside the Museum we saw the Dinosaur bones, ate lunch, and visited they children's section.

They had a show and tell show where there were some interesting insects, Kaleb was not afraid to touch.

Kaleb and Jazelle got to dig for Dinosaur bones as well.

Jazelle likes to go off on her own sometimes, closing the door behind her in bedrooms, and unrolling the toilet paper in the bathroom.

Well one day I saw her go into the bathroom and didn't think much of it, thought she was doing her usual thing. I called out for her minutes later, no answer. So I decided to get up and check on her. This is what I found....

She was in the sink trying to brush her teeth! She loves to climb and is very good at it apparently! I will need to keep my eye out for her, I love the look on her face.

Father/Son Camping

Jason had the opportunity to take Kaleb on the Father/son camp out with our ward. Kaleb was so excited to sleep in the tent and play with all his friends. They went on hikes, sat around the campfire and made smores. They had a dutch oven dinner.

The next day was full of games for the boys, water balloons, and a rocket launcher.

Kaleb was upset when it was time to take the tent down and go home. I am grateful for the memories Kaleb will have of him and Jason.

It's Spring!

We are doing our square foot garden again this year. We had so much success with it last year so Kaleb of course wanted to help Daddy.

We've planted strawberries, corn, cantaloupe, watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes,peppers, and onions.

After hearing that a friend of mine had sold their house, and had to move out within a short notice, I offered to watch her 2 girls. Her girl's are the same age as Kaleb and Jazelle. So she brought them over in the morning and I asked if I could take them out. If you know me I don't like to stay in the house. So I decided to take them to an indoor playground a 1/2 hr away. This way they could play their little hearts out and not make a mess in my house! haha

So here we are...

Tiny Town

This roller coaster ride was a big hit.

We had to have stayed for 2hrs, and the kids did not want to leave. But I was exhausted. I really enjoy being around lots of kids even though most think I'm crazy. I miss teaching Preschool, and to have fun with a few extra kids is what I enjoy. I am so happy to be able to help others.

I just received a call from my OB's office stating that they have scheduled my c-section.

Our Baby Boy will be born..

Wednesday July 7th!

She also informed me that I should arrive at the hospital no later than 10:30am, Fasting.

Oh how the memories, nerves and excitement came back.

I sure hope they are on time this time. :)

Father/ Son Trip

A few weeks ago Jason took Kaleb on a Father/ Son trip to San Fransisco! just for fun. Jazelle and I dropped them off at the airport Friday afternoon. Kaleb got to meet the Pilot, and sit in his seat! He was so excited.

That night they went and watched the Harlem Globetrotters game.

Kaleb now thinks he's a basketball player.

They rented a car while there and the guy gave them an upgrade to a Mercedes.

Jason says he was treated so nicely, because he had Kaleb. What can I say Kaleb is a heart-breaker. So they drove over to the Golden Gate Bridge and actually walked on it, something I have never done.

The next day they rode the trolley down to Giradelli square and got to enjoy a Sundae. Kaleb is not a fan of vanilla so Jason had to get chocolate everything. Once the ice cream arrived Kaleb would not eat any of it. So Jason "had" to finish it all on his own.

They also toured the local cable car museum.

They both had a wonderful time together. Jason informed me that Kaleb kept saying That he wished Mommy was there to see what he was seeing. How sweet that he missed me. Jazelle and I missed them both and were glad that they came home safely.

Kaleb had picked out a gift for Jazelle also, a motorcycle! Jazelle loves it.

California Adventure

Day 1 of our family vacation. We decided to go to Disneyland. Since there was a 2for1 special going on we decided to take it. We visited California Adventure the 1 st day then went to Disneyland the next. We wanted to go all out knowing it would be awhile till we got out, so we decided to stay in the Disneyland Hotel. It was so nice.

We got to our room and was amazed. The kids really were fascinated with the head board that lit up and played music "A dream is a wish your heart makes"

We settled in that night, excited for the next day.

It was raining the day we went to California Adventure, but soon burned off in the afternoon.

Jazelle here is enjoying a fresh made tortilla from the tortilla shop. You could walk through and watch them cook.

We went on a few rides, here we were on A bug's life ride. Everything was giant sized so it felt like you were as small as a bug.

The flowers were in bloom and beautiful.

We decided to see the Playhouse Disney show, which featured Handy Mandy, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and The Little Einsteins.

Jason and Kaleb got to watch the Pixar play parade. Kaleb loved seeing his favorite characters.

At the end of the day we met Auntie Latorr in Downtown Disney for dinner at the Rainforest Cafe. Latorr just works down the street from Downtown Disney and it was so nice to see her.

Our 2nd day of our vacation we went to Disneyland. Since we stayed in the Disney Hotel we got to get into the park an hour before it opened. We took the tram which drops you off inside of the park. Jazelle absolutely loved her 1st Disney trip she was fascinated with the characters and all the new stuff to see. Kaleb did great as well, he tried new rides and wasn't as scared as the last time we went. Jazelle did get a fever and we had to find some Tylenol in the middle of the day, but poor thing hung in there.

Since we got there early that morning we decided to have Breakfast with the Characters. It was a buffet so I was all for it being pregnant. :) It was pretty tasty as well. The kids enjoyed having the characters come visit them at their table.

Captain EO was interesting, the first 3D movie made. The seats would shake as if you were in a ride, Jazelle actually fell asleep toward the end of it.

We did not stay for the fireworks, but saw them on the way out. Kaleb had a fit because he wanted to pull the car over and watch them.

Easter

Easter morning was very eventful this year. We decided that we would host Easter dinner at our house. After preparing and shopping the day before, we had woken up to our kitchen floor had been soaked, and still full of water. I had run the dish washer that night and I guess it had been leaking. So big problem for that day. I quickly called my Aunt and told her the story and we switched our Dinner plans over to her house. We spent most of the morning cleaning the floor, the water had leaked under the fridge and the stove and under the wall into our laundry room.

Everything was moved out and let to dry all day.

The kids were very excited to see what the Easter Bunny had left them. Jazelle got her favorite pairs of sunglasses, and Kaleb also received "play" money!

I had made a potato casserole, and bought a bunch of fruit for a fruit salad. The Dinner was delish. Everyone was in charge of a dish.

We were so happy to be with Family on that Special day.

We also had an Easter egg hunt for the kids later that day, Kaleb found the most. :)

Kaleb had his first time coloring eggs and absolutely loved it.

Hollywood

Jason took Jazelle and Kaleb down to Hollywood one Friday while I was getting my hair done. (which took 9 hrs)

They had a blast looking at the Walk of Fame, visiting the Chinese Theater and having an Ice Cream Sundae at a local diner.

Princess

Jazelle and I went to breakfast one morning and decided to walk the little strip of mall and came across this adorable boutique shop. They had the cutest baby gear (pricey) but it was fun to play around.

Santa Monica

On the Pier they had a station where you could drive little motor boats. It was very popular with the kids.

We also visited the little aquarium, where they had a children's area. I especially liked this because I could just sit and watch.

They had "feeling" tanks and Kaleb loved to touch the various animals, me not so much.

Kaleb loved it and had his favorite station #3.

It's always so fun to hang out with my kids, even though I thought I was going to pass out from all the walking and being pregnant.

Bad Luck

So 2 weeks ago Kaleb, Jazelle and I decided to drive down to Santa Monica to visit and have lunch with Jason. It was a gorgeous day so we went down to the pier and had lunch at a little cafe. Jason had to go back to work, so I told him that we would stay and hang out at the pier/beach. After a few hours of playing games, walking around, and visiting the aquarium I was exhausted. So we walked across the street to the 3rd street promenade, and called Jason to pick us up.

Headed back to his work and dropped him off. Kaleb wanted to ride home with Jason because he was going to head to the Home Depot before heading home.

So Jazelle and I drive in the rush hour traffic and finally arrive home. It has been awhile since I have heard from Jason so I call him, and he is on his way to The Home Depot. He then tells me someone has hit his car on the freeway! my heart drops and I ask if everyone is ok especially Kaleb.

He then tells me what has happened. He was trying to change lanes to merge onto the 14 freeway from the 5. This guy just would not let Jason pass, so when the guys slows down Jason takes the opportunity to speed up and get in front of him. The guy sees Jason trying to do this and gives a glare look and speeds up full force and hits the back of Jason's car, while continuing to proceed on the other freeway. Jason was unable to get his licence plate number because he left so fast. When I heard this I was thinking how is Kaleb? he tells me Kaleb thought it was fun and wanted to do it again. lol I am so glad they both are ok but very upset we now have to pay $1000 deductible, because we couldn't get the licence plate number. Why do people get so angry for no reason? for a simple lane change? So we have had a rental car for the past week and a half while Jason's car is being fixed.

Smart Boy

Kaleb is such a bright child, he even surprises Jason and I sometimes of what he knows. At school he is learning his letters and how to write them.

I found a Leapfrog DVD called The Letter Factory, we watched it one day and he had to watch it again. This movie is a daily movie for us. They go through all the letters of the Alphabet and their sound. Kaleb now knows all the letters and sounds. Jazelle also enjoys it too and likes to sing a long.

Kaleb also enjoys doing mazes and does them almost perfectly. Every night he has Jason read him the book "The Way Things Work" a book Jason read to figure out how things worked, they've read almost the whole book, and Kaleb just loves to learn about everything.

He is so blessed to have this special gift, and we are blessed to have Kaleb as our special gift.

Jazelle is such a character sometimes and always has us laughing. She is a ray of Sunshine and is always happy. She loves to dress up and especially loves to put things on her head.

Sibling Love

Kaleb and Jazelle just absolutely love each other. Most of the time they play so well together. Jazelle looks up to Kaleb and Kaleb is such a good brother and watches out for his little sister.

I told Kaleb to give Jazelle a hug.

Apparently she didn't want one.

They will hold hands when we go out sometimes, and when I try to hold Jazelle's hand she will only choose to hold her brothers.

Karate

I have been thinking of different classes to put my energetic boy in. We came across a karate class and decided to try out the free trial classes.

Kaleb absolutely loved it and did great! But I think he is still too young.

We might go back to soccer.
