She's 1!

Happy Birthday Jazelle!

Jazelle had her 1st birthday on October 28. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. She is such a sweet baby and is as cute as ever. She loves her older brother and wants to do the things he does. She is starting to take steps but still prefers crawling. She is loosing her appetite for baby food and would rather eat "real" food. She loves to put things on her head, and will laugh at herself from time to time. Jazelle also loves music and will twist her body or clap to the rhythm.
Jazelle has finally gotten 2 bottom teeth. She is still only 16lbs and 27 inches long. She may be small but she sure can stand up for herself! She will complain and fight back if Kaleb is trying to take something away from her. We love her so much, she brings so much joy into our lives.

Santa Barbara Zoo

A week before Jazelle's birthday we decided to go to the Santa Barbara Zoo as an early celebration. She loves animals so we thought this would be the perfect place.
It was a beautiful warm day.

My favorite picture.

The famous grass hill that the kids slide down.
Kaleb could have stayed here all day.

Halloween

Halloween this year was fun for us all. It was Jazelle's 1 st official Halloween, since last year her and I were returning home from the hospital. She did not go trick or treating because she crashed right after our Ward Halloween Party. Our Ward Party was on Halloween this year, I was unable to join in on the festivities because I was working the Kitchen. My committee and I were in charge of the dinner, we had nachos, and let me tell you they were a hit. I thought I had bought enough food but by the middle of the party the condiments were quickly disappearing. We had Chili, black beans, sour cream, salsa, olives, jalapeƱos, shredded cheese, as well as nacho cheese. As for the drinks I was given a punch recipe made up of Orange juice, orange aid, and orange flavored sparkling water. We put the mixture in a witches cauldron and topped it off with some dry ice! it was very tasty. This year to the youth were in charge of a spook alley, it was very well put together. They had a non scare version for the little one's so I took Kaleb and Jazelle. Games were set up in the cultural hall and a Trunk or Treat was the ending of it all. I had a great time, and so did our family. I felt bad because Jason had to take care of Jazelle and Kaleb while I worked, and did not get any pictures of the event.
