Updates

Well it's been awhile since I've written on here, so I am giving you updates from the past couple weeks.

December 15th

Jason, Kaleb and I went to The Grove/Farmer's Market on Saturday. It was an all day event. So we show up there around lunch time, Kaleb is overwhelmed with excitement. We have lunch, Jason eats at his typical southern food place and orders alligator. His favorite on his mission in Louisiana. But wasn't to fond of it. I ate at an Italian place and got a Panini hoping to share it with Kaleb. But you know how that goes never goes well. If you know Kaleb all he wants to do is run around.

Kaleb loved loved loved! watching the dancing water fountain.

Snow at the Grove.

December 21

This night Jason and I were invited with the Bishopric and their families to go see The Christmas Carol at the Glendale theater. It was so nice to go out with other adults and we were so lucky to have gotten a babysitter for Kaleb. Before the night started we had a Potluck at the Bishop's house where we filled up with good tasting food and desserts. We really enjoyed the play. I haven't seen much plays, so I really enjoyed it. For Jason it brought back memories, cause he used to be a sound technition for the Promise Vally Playhouse in Utah.

December 24 & 25

Christmas Eve Jason & I took Kaleb to see Christmas lights. He loves lights, doesn't matter what kind. We believe his first real word was "light!". My friends have been telling me that there is this cul-de-sac neighborhood that go all out with their Christmas lights. And they were right! Every house was decked out they even strung lights from house to house, it was beautiful.

We had Christmas at our house this year. Kaleb opened his presents in the morning and enjoyed every minute and every present. My family came over later that day for lunch/dinner. It was nice to see everyone on such a great Holiday. We had great food and great company what else can you ask for? We also had more presents to open, Kaleb had most of them. He got lots of toys and clothes.

December 28

On this day Jason and I had our 5 year wedding anniversary! I can't believe it's been 5 years already, where has the time gone? It's been the best 5 yrs of my life. I love my husband so much and don't know what I would do without him! I am so excited for the years to come. So we didn't really celebrate it, but we had a friend of our get married that night, and got to attend her reception. It was so beautiful! We got to dance together for a quick second before Kaleb ran off and we had to chase him.

December 29

Jason had gotten me a Spa gift certificate last Christmas and I finally decided to use it today. I invited my friend Jen and we had a blast. It's so nice to to relax. We went in the steam room and jacuzzi and had a treatment in the Grotto. It's this cave like place. You first rub a scrub all our your body and wash it off . Then the workers paint this sea kelp all over your body which helps your skin to hydrate deep down past the top layer, then you move onto a heated room (95*) and massage the kelp into your skin for 15 min., then you shower it off in the three headed showers, and then moved onto the cooling room where you have a refreshing glass of water.
I enjoyed every minute being there and will go back. I am grateful to have such good friends that I can hang around with.

Oh Christmas Tree!

Well this past weekend we also went Christmas tree shopping! We heard you get better deals if you went to Home Depot, so we did. We went into there tree lot and it was full of people picking out trees. I just love the smells of Christmas trees, it instantly gets you into Christamas mode. We had no idea what we were doing, because it was our first time ever picking out a tree. Kaleb was with us and was running around as usual.

After looking around feeling lost, we decided to go inside and check out the Fake trees. We found a great eal on one and bought it! It's 7 ft and came already lit! we just need to get some ornaments and a star of course!

Christmas Party

This past weekend Jason had his work Christmas party. It was located at a restaraunt in Hunington Beach. I was able to get my Aunts to babysit Kaleb and we are so grateful that they were able to do it. All we heard were great things about their night, I was relieved because it was going to be a long night and I didn't know how Kaleb would react because he hadn't stayed with my family for long periods of time. I was suprised that he didn't cry at all! now I know I can leave him with anybody and he'll be just fine! We even got to see my sister Latorr who only lives down the street from where we were! Well at the restaraunt we were seated outside! On the menu was Salmon, steak, and chicken! I had ordered the steak and it was so good! I'm sure Jason would agree with me is that the best part of the night was him recieving his Christmas bonus! I am so grateful for Jason and how hard he works to support our family!

Can I get some Help?

I am so so Lucky to have a son who loves to help me clean! I mean he loves to do everything, from the dishes to the laundry to the vacuuming!
He knows that when I have to do the laundry he has to be the one to pour the soap in, he even turns the nob to turn on the dryer! And when it comes to dishes he loves to close the dishwasher door.

Here is another thing! in the morning I am not allowed to feed him breakfast he has to do it all on his own! He does pretty good too!

Check up!!

Well today was Kaleb's 15 month check up. I can't believe how time fly's it seems like yesterday he was just a little infant. I love how much he is growing and his little personality he is getting. It is so much fun to play with him! We are so amazed of how much he knows and understands. For instance if we ask him where the moon is he points right at it! He can "sign" more, if he wants more to eat, he says a few words: Light, Trash, Bye, Mommy, Dadda, he is a non stop talker is his own language. I met a lady who has a 2 yr old and she was amazed, because her son only say a few words at 2! I am so grateful to have such a gifted son. well here are his stats from the doctors.

Age: 15 months
Hieght: 29"
Weight: 19 lbs
Head circ.: 46 1/2

Yes he is small, but I wouldn't want it any other way.

Lombardi Ranch

So my friend and I decided to take our little one's to the Pumkin Patch! It was my first time to go to this particular pumpkin patch, it's a shame that most of it was burned by the fire! but we enjoyed ourselves anyways. The weather was beautiful and couldn't be perfect to set the mood for Halloween.

Kaleb would not sit still let alond stand still!

The only smile picture I got the whole day, and this was when we were leaving.

Kaleb's friend Daniel helping him out! Thanks Daniel for letting Kaleb borrow your costume.

Fire! Fire!

So this weekend was pretty eventful. We had very strong winds, which caused many fires. It started out Sunday afternoon as I was driving home I could see alittle puff of white smoke over the mountain, and thought "oh great!" so housrs later I had put Kaleb down for a nap and went to check on the progress and the whole sky had turned brown! a few hours later it had turned Black! and very smokey. we started to worry at this point. As brave as my husband is he went on the roof a few times to take pictures, and scope things out! Then as my neighbor came knocking on my door to tell me the hill was on fire in our housing community, Jason comes in screaming. well it was very scary and I'm glad to be back home! For the record this is our second fire we had to evacuate for, we were in the 2003 Stevenson Ranch fire also!

The house behind our house, you can kinda see the flames.

The hills on fire next to our house

The day after the fire, the hill next to our house.

Kaleb

A house that burnt down, up Camp Plenty st. up the hill from where we live.

We are so Grateful for the Brave Firefighters, that keep us safe.

Keep them in your prayers.

"Naked"

So our little Kaleb loves to be naked! I usually let him roam around the house in his diaper. He sometimes tries to take it off! So one day he was trying so hard to take it off but didn't succeed, it was so funny to watch.

Like Father Like Son

Everyday Kaleb is becoming more and more like Jason. He loves to do whatever Daddy is doing. He follows him around the house and it's so cute!

Notice how Jason is always working on his computer.

My boy is such a boy!

Kaleb is such a boy! he loves anything he can drive! He loves to take things apart and put them back together. He is so mechanicaly smart! haha

Grandparent's House

So we visited my Mom & Dad last Sunday to watch General Conference, and have a Breakfast lunch with them. We had brought a Quiche that we made from Dream Dinners, let me tell you it was delicious! Anyways... on the drive there Kaleb was goofing off and was doing some pretty silly things!

Here he is picking his nose after I told him it was "yucky" he thought it was hilarious and kept doing it everytime we said "Ewwww" so now when we say " Ewwww" he atomatically does it! and laughs.

Well we call my mom's house the animal house! She has 5 dogs, 2 horses, a cat, a guinie pig, oh and 2 goats! Kaleb loves animals especially dogs.
