My Cutie

I just bought Jazelle some teething biscuits, because she loves to put things in her mouth. She would get upset every time we took the pizza crust away from her because it started to break off.
Jazelle absolutely loves the biscuits.

Independance

Kaleb put his shoes on by himself.
Can you tell?

Lately Kaleb has been wanting to do more things on his own. His friend Daniel has been putting his own shoes on and Kaleb was wanting to do it too. So I bought him some sandles that he could just slip on. He learned very quickly, and enjoys doing it. Now onto Potty Training!

I thought this was cute. Most of the time he gets them on the right feet.

Praise

I need to do more of this. Sometimes I feel like a bad parent because I'm always saying NO and not focusing on the positives. I am grateful to have both of my children in my life. They make me so happy.

Kaleb says..

Every morning when Jazelle wakes up, I bring her out into the living room and Kaleb is usually there watching TV. He rushes over to her and says "Good morning my pretty princess!"

You know how we all have morning hair? or just a very bad hair day? well I have alot of those. And whenever my hair is at it's most horribleness, Kaleb always says to me "Mommy your hair looks beautiful"

Kaleb started talking early, and he says and understands things perfectly, I feel like sometimes I'm talking to an older child. He is such a good boy and absolutely adores Jazelle.
I love him.

Blessings

Today my Mom had surgery to remove her Gall Bladder. I had asked Kaleb to bless her in his prayers.. Here is what he said..

"Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this day. Bless Grandma that she can get better and not have to go in the ambulance."

here is what he said the night before..

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank for this day. Bless Grandma so she can feel better, and come home, to my home and play..."

I love to hear Kaleb say the prayer, it is so sweet. He blesses everyone including his cousins. Sometimes he rambles on and on, and we have to stop him. I am so grateful for the power of prayer and the comfort it gives me.

Summer time

Today we met up with some friends and went to our local public pool. They have this awesome kid area where the entrance is beach like and a water slide. The most popular thing for Kaleb was when he turned several wheels and water would spray out everywhere. Jazelle loves the water! she would kick and bounce all over the place. She gets excited when she hears the water running for the bath tub.
Lately Kaleb has has many fears, and one of them is the water, I was so proud of him today he did great! At first he was hesitant, then I assurred him that it was not deep and he went off exploring every where. Kaleb hates getting water in his face and freaks out during his baths, but today he was ok with it. Kids were splashing everywhere and he continued to have fun.

San Diego

This past Thursday we had the chance to go to San Diego with Jason. he had two jobs out there he had to work on. So we decided to make it a little family vacation. We left our
house at 7:30 am
and arrive at our Hotel at 10:30am. The drive wasn't too bad, the kids did great! Jazelle fell asleep, and Kaleb of course stayed awake the whole time. He was so excited to go to San Diego. We stayed in a beautiful Hotel on an island. Jason dropped us off after checking in and went right to work. Kaleb, Jazelle and I got to hang around the Hotel. We ate lunch took a nap and headed to the pool. The pool was heated and it felt very nice. They provided baby floats and those water noodles. I sat Jazelle in the floaty and held Kaleb. He still is unsure about the water. But we had fun. The pool water was salt water so we tried not to splash too much, it didn't taste very well.
We also hung out in the jacuzzi, it was Jazelle's favorite because she was free to move around and jump. She could not do this in the floaty. After swimming we went back to our room washed off and put Jazelle down for another nap. When she woke up Jason was on his way to meet us for dinner. He arrived back at the hotel at 7pm.

The next morning (Friday) Kaleb and Jazelle woke up at 6:30am! so we were forced to start our day early. Kaleb was so excited to go to Sea World. We arrived there at 11am. The day was cloudy but not to chilly, later o the sun came out and became very warm. We lined up to see the 1 st Shamu show. Before i had shown Kaleb the Shamu show on You Tube to get him ready. In the beginning he did pretty well, then became so terrified he was crying. We then explored the rest of the day. He really loved playing in the new Sesame Street area. There were rides, attractions. Jazelle the whole time loved this new adventure. She did become crabby because of her lack of a nap.

At the end of the day we decided to go see the dolphin show. Kaleb loved this one better than Shamu. We were pressured to buy Popcorn, because Kaleb figured out what the guys walking around were selling! He practically ate the whole bag! one time he told Jason " No Daddy it's my popcorn don't eat it all!) Anyways the
day was long and fun, we left around 4:30 and both the kids were out on the wonderful drive home in traffic!
I just love going out with my family.

Who doesn't like the beach?

Today we went to visit my sister in Huntington Beach. It's an hour and a half drive from our home. We left the house after Jazelle woke up from her morning nap. Kaleb seemed very excited to go to auntie Latorr's house, and wouldn't stop talking about it. The drive went pretty well towards the end Jazelle started to get really fussy. She doesn't like to be sitting back in her chair for long periods of time, she always tries to sit up in her car seat. Anyways so we made it to Latorr's house, got out stretched, and changed into our swim suits. The weather was supposed to be cloudy with thunderstorms that day but ended up sunny and beautiful. We went to lunch and of course that was a circus. Kaleb is a very active boy, we went to BJ's for lunch just down the street from the Beach, Kaleb was jumping all over the bench as usual and that caused him to throw up all of his lunch! yes it was a mess. so I got him all cleaned up, and before we leave the restaurant he has peed all over his swimming trunks! and it's dripping on the floor! I don't get it! He was wearing a swim diaper too! so yes a lot has happened before we even make it to the beach. So we finally leave and I have to carry Kaleb because his shoes are all wet from me washing them in the sink. We get to the beach and Kaleb does not like to walk in the sand apparently! so I have to carry him again to the spot where we would lay our stuff. Meanwhile my sister and her friend are carrying the stroller with Jazelle in it. It's a lot of work when you have kids!

Kaleb's reaction to the beach! The sand and water!
Later he told me the waves scared him.

A nice Family photo

Auntie Latorr and Kaleb

Kaleb had to bring his squirt bottle, and enjoyed spraying everyone.

Jazelle just loves being outside.

Towards the end of our adventure at the beach the kids were getting very restless. Kaleb does not do well without a nap, and we were way past due. So we decided to head back home. I knew it was going to take forever because of the LA traffic. I was glad that both of my cuties fell asleep on the way home.

Kaleb and Jazelle just love visiting their Aunties. Kaleb always asks to go visit auntie Destiny at her work. She works at a Vetrinarians office. He says he wants to go see the "puppies at the hospital" We visited a few weeks ago and he had a blast. there were at least 10 dogs roaming the office, Destiny told me they were all her bosses dogs. And like always Jazelle was being passed around to everyone. She's so good and doesn't mind a bit. I am so grateful to have family around that love my kids and like to help me.

Garden

Kaleb loves to help water the Garden and he does it very well.

Our little Garden has come so far, it is so exciting seeing everything blossom. The tomato plant is getting so big, but still not producing any fruit. The giant plant behind Kaleb is the squash plant, it gets bigger every day and produces these beautiful flowers.

The Peas

The only thing I am excited about is the yummy strawberries.

Food

Jazelle has been eating solid foods for a month now and just realized I have no pictures of her and her messes. Kaleb at this age I had tons and tons of pictures of him. Jazelle is already going through the 2nd child sindrome. So I decided to start taking more pictures. We just recently purchased a new camera! A digital profesional one I love it! It's a Nikon. Here is our happy princess eating and loving her food. She still does not eat as much as Kaleb did but it is much better than nursing every 2 hrs. Jazelle's favorite foods are fruits and anything mixed with sweet potatoes. Veggies she's not too fond of, but carrots she does like. Isn't she so cute?

My Handsome

My little handsome man, and to think that the Child agency didn't call us back! :(

7 months

Jazelle is now 7 months old! Ok where did the time go? She is now rolling all over the place! she rolls back and forth eveywhere, today I found her under the coffee table after placing her on her play mat. She is getting so strong and loves to stand up. I can't wait till she can chase her brother around, it's going to be so cute. They play so well together now and hope it will continue when they are older.

Family BBQ

My Mom & Dad put on a great family BBq one weekend.  Kaleb was well entertained with a swimming pool, sprinkler toy, and pool table. Jason and I had a little game before it was interupted with Kaleb wanting to play. My Dad did a great job BBqing, we had Hot dogs and Hamburgers, and all the side fixins. Whenever we eat at my Mom's you know theres going to be a ton of food. Really good food. We are grateful for the family we have and how close we could live by them. It's great to see everyone and catch up with what's going on in their lives. Kaleb was also the entertainer of the party he loves to sing and is not shy about it.
