Travel Town

Yesterday myself, Kaleb, his friend Daniel and his mom went to visit the train museum Travel Town. It was so much fun! Our boys are so obsessed with trains so I thought we could take them to see old trains they can climb and run in. They absolutely loved it . I think the train ride was the best, it took you all over the museum and we got to go twice around, Kaleb was really excited about that. I also bought him a Thomas the tank engine shirt.

2 yr check up

Kaleb had his 2 yr check up last week, and it was challenging. He freaked out as usual but worse, I couldn't get him to sit on the scale for the weight measurement, the nurse at one point told me to step on the scale with him, then she would do the math. We did not want to lie down for his height measurement, or even have his temp taken. I was practically wrestling with him, and let me tell you it's hard when your pregnant. Well we did get the info we needed and here it is! I know it will knock your socks off!

Age: 2yr

Height: 32" (our B ball player)

Weight: 24lbs (he was above the charts haha)

Head circumference: 49cm (all brain)

I'm grateful to have such a healthy son.

Weekend fun

So on Saturday, we decided to take Kaleb on a train ride (the metrolink) to Olvera st. Since he's been asking to ride one ever since Jason was gone out of town. Since Jason was leaving again I decided we needed to have another family day. It was so much fun, Kaleb was scared at first, then quickly warmed up to it! His favorite part was going through the tunnel and under the bridges. We had bought him a little train set for his birthday so he was familiar with driving the train through the tunnel and over the bridge. It was very hot that day as usual, so we stayed only for awhile and headed back. I just love spending time with my family and seeing Kaleb's eyes gleam everytime he sees something new or interesting. I'm grateful to have these experiences and can't wait till our new little one arrives.

Summer concert

So here at our local mall they put on concerts in the summer, where different people come and perform, Kaleb loves live music and this particular concert I wanted to go to. You'll see why.

A trip to the Zoo

Kaleb and I went on a trip to the zoo with my parents one weekend, and he had a blast.

Grandpa and Kaleb on the tram

Kaleb loved the flamingos

This is how we shop

So basically I am so grateful for the invention of tiny shopping carts for the kids. Kaleb is such a booger when it comes to going shopping with me. I've decided I am just going to stop taking him unless they have these great kiddie carts. So basically my shopping experience consists of fighting Kaleb to sit in the seat, he has to sit where the food goes, and when he's done with that he needs to get out and either run away from me, or he insists on pushing the cart himself! I can't even touch it with one finger or else I will hear it from him. And the last thing is anything I put in the cart he has to eat it! so basically when I get to the checker half of my food is already open. (not really) so now you know what I go through, and with a second one on the way how will I ever do it?

Kaleb's 2nd Birthday

We recently celebrated Kaleb's Birthday, and let me tell you we had a blast. First we had a little family celebration on his actual birthday which was Sunday August 10th. We had dinner as a family and then had a little Birthday cake. (cookies n cream yum).

Blowin out the candle.

The other celebration we had was with Kaleb's close friends and family. We scheduled a Firehouse tour, because Kaleb's theme this year was fire trucks.

Group Shot

Afterwards we all met at our house to have cupcakes and snacks, and of course presents.
Thanks to all that attended.

3 Down 2 to go!

So our ward always seems to have pregnancies right after another. 2 yrs ago I believe 18 babies were born? not sure but something like that. This year we have yet another big group of pregnant women, I being one of them! So within the past few months 3 babies were born, and I am 2 be next in line yahoo! I can't wait! with 77 days to go! I am so anxious. I am starting to feel more and more of her movements, sometimes in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. I have signed up for those pregnancy emails when I was prego with Kaleb, they tell you all about what's going on with you and your baby! This week I read that it's getting a little cramped for the baby and that I will begin to feel more of the elbows and knees, and let me tell you I certainly have. I am still enjoying this pregnancy, besides the constant back aches. I just wanted to express how grateful I am to be a mom.

Survivor

Happy to say I have survived my first week of having no husband, for some of you who don't know he's out of town for 2 weeks to Connecticut for business. It's been very hard and lonely. Kaleb and I have had some sleepless nights, and can't wait to get back on track. We have 5 more days left! I don't know how some people do it with their spouses being in the military, and gone for months or years! that would kill me. Well we have been keeping busy also going to birthday parties, baby showers, concerts, the zoo and to Grandma and Grandpa's house. I have so many pictures but, will have to wait to upload them because my laptop can't read the card. So many more posts are to come.
